This healthy banana bread is soft, fluffy, and naturally sweetened with honey or maple syrup—no refined sugar overload! Made with applesauce or Greek yogurt for extra moisture, it’s a guilt-free treat that still tastes indulgent. Perfect for breakfast, snacks, or freezing for later, this one-bowl recipe is easy, wholesome, and totally kid-approved!

- 3 Ripe, mashed bananas
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
- 1/4 cup brown sugar Can also use coconut sugar
- 1/4 cup plain greek yogurt or applesauce
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1.5 cups All-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp salt
Optional
- 1/4 cup chopped nuts, chocolate chips, or raisins
Preheat Oven – Set it to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a 9x5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper.
Mix the Wet Ingredients – In a large bowl, mash the bananas. Whisk in eggs, honey (or maple syrup), brown sugar, applesauce (or yogurt), and vanilla until smooth.
Add the Dry Ingredients – Gently mix in the flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Stir just until combined—don’t overmix!
Fold in Extras – If using nuts, chocolate chips, or raisins, stir them in now.
Bake – Pour the batter into the loaf pan and bake for 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Cool & Enjoy – Let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack. Slice and serve!
